INSPIRE Work Week
All classes have been working on the Inspire work projects . Classes have been on trips: Year 2 visited Shoreditch Fire station, Year 4—Shaka Zulu restaurant , Year 1—Waitrose and Year 3—the British Museum. Classes also had visitors from the ‘Dogs Trust’, Thames 21 and Year 6 hosted their own Dragons Den.
House of Illustration
Y3, 4 and 5 have started an exciting project working with the House of Illustration, the UK’s only public gallery dedicated solely to illustration, based just down the road at King’s Cross. The three classes attended a workshop at the gallery last week, working with a professional illustrator to create characters, pop-up illustrations and maps of enchanted lands, all linking to our Christmas production of Peter Pan. The illustrator will be coming into school next term to deliver another workshop so that the children can learn a different technique. We can’t wait!

Rugby World Cup Festival 18th September
Sheldon and Michelle took 10 children from year 4 and 5 to help kick off the Rugby World Cup in Islington. In true Rugby style it poured with rain but this did not dampen our spirits. We participated in team challenges. We competed well and worked as a team. Unfortunately we did not get into the final though we had lots of fun.
