Crying

Crying is not an uncommon part of settling in which can be distressing for both children and parents/carers. It is normal for children to cry when parting from an adult whom they love and many parents struggle with this aspect of settling in. Often children cry for a short period and are comforted and reassured by their Key Person. If your child is distressed for longer periods we will talk to you about slowing down the settling in period if necessary and we will develop some further strategies to support the transition.
