See What We’ve Been Up To

This week we have continued to read the story Whatever Next!   The children enjoyed the ‘hot seating’ questions that we asked Baby Bear about his adventures.  We had some great answers from Baby Bear too.

In maths the children have been learning about 2D shapes and then 3D shapes.  They have been learning about the properties of the shapes and their names and enjoyed drawing shapes in the shaving foam and also on large sheets of paper.

Today the children attended the whole school Celebration Assembly again as part of the transition to Year 1 and they will now attend this assembly every Friday.

Finally, thank you for supporting your child to walk from the gate where I greet you into the classroom on their own.  This is another important part of transition in preparation for Year 1.  It might seem another small step for you as an adult however, for the children it is a new change in the routine and it will support their independence and emotional well-being, feeling safe when coming into school independently.
