We offer extended day provision for children from Reception to Year 6.

Extended day 8.00am – 8.45am (Breakfast Club)
3.15pm – 6.00pm (After School Club)
Enrichment Clubs 3.45pm – 4.45pm

Our breakfast club provides children with an opportunity to socialise and learn new skills. The sessions are planned to provide a calm start to the day. The school works in partnership with the National Schools Breakfast Programme and has bought into the scheme to ensure we provide our children with a variety of breakfast options such as toast, cereal, fruit, and bagels.

Our After School Enrichment clubs run from 3.45pm-4.45pm. Throughout the week we aim to ensure children have access to a range of enrichment activities, some activities change every half term to ensure we are catering for the needs of the children. Our enrichment clubs includes sports activities, arts and craft, drama, home work and curriculum clubs.

The Extended Day and children with additional support needs

While Robert Blair is an inclusive mainstream school, we need to ensure that we are meeting the needs of all children. Children with additional support needs will need to be individually assessed by the school. This is to ensure that we can safely meet children’s needs within our current staffing levels. We do not have the capacity to provide additional staff in our After School Clubs and cannot provide one-to-one or small group support during the extended school day.

If your child has additional support needs or an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) please send your request to admin@robertblair.islington.sch.uk before booking After School, Breakfast Club or any other after school club and we will to carry out a Risk Assessment and discuss your request with you on an individual basis. Please ensure that you provide us with at least two weeks’ notice prior to booking any extended day provision so we can conduct a risk assessment for your child before making a decision about offering them a place.

If you book extended day provision or a enrichment clubs without going through this process we will contact you to let you know that we cannot accept the booking.
