Year 1
Welcome to Antarctica Class, Year 1. The adults in our class are Ms Michael and Ms Walls.
This half term, our history and art learning is: Fire, Gunpowder, Treason and Plot. We have been learning about important historical facts in British history such as the Gunpowder Plot and the Great Fire of London.
See what we have been up to:
This week in maths, Year 1 have started learning about place value. They have identified how many ‘tens’ and ‘ones’ are in numbers to 20.
In English, children have finished writing their information reports about the great fire of London. They ended their reports by writing about how London was rebuilt after the fire. Children summed up their topic learning for the term by making a comparison between London in 1666 and London now.
We have started getting into the festive spirit, making Christmas decorations for the hall and singing Christmas songs 🙂
