Year 3
Welcome to Year 3! The supporting adults in our class are Mr Aluko and Mrs Chan.
See what we’ve been up to
- In Maths, we developed our understanding of volume and capacity. We compared how different containers hold different measurements and discussed the different concepts of how much something can hold and how much something contains. Try it out at home using different containers!
- As part of our topic, we made our own cave paintings by using stencils, paper-mache, and paint! The children spent the week following step-by-step instructions and made wonderful pieces art work!
- In English, we used our ‘Talk for Writing’ skills that we have developed throughout the term to create our own adaptations of The BFG by Roald Dahl. The children thought of amazing adjectives to describe the characters and showed great independence in their writing!
This week, Nyla is the star of the week for consistently working hard and striving to do her best in her spellings. She has persisted and continued to go above and beyond the school expectations in school and with her home learning.
